'Blog entry
May 2nd, 2010
It's been awhile since my last update but a lot has been done. Most of it, however, is not actual
artwork so there wasn't much to post. However, here's an update.
What All Happened?
I finished the mural at Sam's Quick Stop in the Deveroe's shopping center of Camp
Washington on Friday.
I joined the Cincinnati Art Club (as an associate member) & have been participating in sketch classes,
Associate art shows, & more. I recently (as in yesterday) submitted some work to be reviewed for
Signature member status. Wish me luck!
I co-founded The Full Art Spectrum, an art
network for artist of all disciplines (music, visual arts, dance, etc.) that meets monthly. We've
already had two meetings & outgrew our original meeting place. We have a new location at Mills & Carter
in Norwood.
I completed the piece "Silent Night" and "Little Moon" for friends who were at the Parkside Café event
& already revisited "Silent Night" upon request.
I'm up on Youtube now performing some poetry at Creativa Creative Convergence. There are 6 pieces in two
different clips from the 13th here &
here. In March I did a few others.
Go to the Creativa Convergence Youtube page to
see them all & visit my Facebook notes for the text.
I donated four pieces to Cincinnati Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for auction. Those pieces were the
Cincinnati Offensive Line, Foal and Mare, Skygazing Drifters, & Racing
Bikes Downhill.
What's Coming Up?
Now I have a 2-Day Essex Studio show coming up next week starting
Saturday 7th and the 8th starting at 6p until 11p on both days. I will be premiering half a dozen new
works & will (hopefully) also premier some new artwork using an experimental process that is unlike
anything ever done before in the history of art. I've been working on it for years & I'm down to just a
few more tweaks.
There's a poetry contest coming up on the 12th at the
Covington City Lights Poetry Slam which I've been working on a very complex piece, one freestyle, &
reworking some previous ones.
On top of that I'm making a small series of desktop vacations which are bigger than usual (6" x 6"
instead of the traditional 4" x 4") upon request from the Malton Gallery (who currently has all the
traditional Desktop Vacation series available as part of their collection).
Thanks!
